Elmubas Petfoodgroup produces and distributes pet food on 5 continents &#8211; around 144,000 tonnes per year &#8211; and offers comprehensive advice on the production of customer branded products.<\/p>\n<p>The exceptional human team that has helped us become a leader in our sector over 30 years of history is now made up of 227 people (117 men and 110 women) who work in 3 different shifts and 5 different processes: office, packaging, maintenance, extrusion and loading.<\/p>\n<p>Each person&#8217;s travel generates an average of 1.05 tonnes of CO2, or 239 tonnes per year.<\/p>\n<p>Once this calculation had been made, we carried out a mobility diagnosis, always in collaboration with Sinnple, which allowed us to understand where people travelled from, by what means and what constraints there were in the company (location, shifts, etc.).<\/p>\n<p>We conducted a survey among our employees, asking them about their commuting habits. The results were enlightening.<\/p>\n<p>72 people (representing 32% of the workforce) completed the survey, and all areas were included, making it a good representation of the different municipal areas.<\/p>\n<p>These were the first results:<\/p>\n<ul>\n<li>89% travel in their car with no other passengers.<\/li>\n<li>7% carpool.<\/li>\n<li>2.7% walk or cycle.<\/li>\n<li>1.3% use public transport.<\/li>\n<li>3% have a hybrid car.<\/li>\n<li>Among people living closer to home, the percentage of people travelling alone by car is slightly higher and vice versa.<\/li>\n<li>Among those who come from further away, 13% do so by carpooling.<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<p><img loading=\"lazy\" decoding=\"async\" class=\"aligncenter wp-image-10610\" src=\"https:\/\/elmubas.com\/wp-content\/uploads\/2023\/10\/infografia-plan-movilidad-elmubas-EN.webp\" alt=\"\" width=\"638\" height=\"359\" srcset=\"https:\/\/elmubas.kreati.net\/wp-content\/uploads\/2023\/10\/infografia-plan-movilidad-elmubas-EN.webp 2560w, https:\/\/elmubas.kreati.net\/wp-content\/uploads\/2023\/10\/infografia-plan-movilidad-elmubas-EN-300x169.webp 300w, https:\/\/elmubas.kreati.net\/wp-content\/uploads\/2023\/10\/infografia-plan-movilidad-elmubas-EN-1024x576.webp 1024w, https:\/\/elmubas.kreati.net\/wp-content\/uploads\/2023\/10\/infografia-plan-movilidad-elmubas-EN-1536x864.webp 1536w\" sizes=\"(max-width: 638px) 100vw, 638px\" \/><\/p>\n<p>&nbsp;<\/p>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"<p>The first thing we wanted to do when we considered implementing improvements in the area of mobility was to calculate the impact of our activities.
